WAITING FOR GODOT

It would be a big mistake not to mention Waiting for Godot, when it comes to the 20th Istanbul Theatre Festival. The opening play of the festival is written by Samuel Beckett, about waiting and hope. Basically, the play will show the audience humanity itself. It's considered as one of the most important works of Samuel Beckett and will be directed by Sahika Tekand. The play will be at Uniq Hall, on the 3rd and 4th of May, at 20:30. Before we end our article, a famous scene from the play will give you a better idea.

- Don't touch me! Don't question me! Don't speak to me! Stay with me!
- Did I ever leave you?
- You let me go.

THE KINDLY ONES

The festival attracks attention with the adaptations of famous books and one of them is The Kindly Ones, which is written by Jonathan Littell and directed by Guy Cassiers. It's about the Jewish Holocaust from a Nazi officers's point of view. Besides the scenario, designs of the costumes and musics are also noteworthy. The play will be at Uniq Hall, on the 6th, 7th and 8th of May. Don't forget that a colloquy will be made with Guy Cassiers, after the play on the 7th of May.

THE COMPLETE DEATHS

This year is the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death and Istanbul Theatre Festival did not forget it at all.
