Each of the different areas in and around Antalya offers a unique and diverse atmosphere. There is something for everyone, from the height of luxury to the budget-friendly. Learn about the different neighborhoods just waiting to be explored in Antalya.  

Kaleici

If it is your first time in Antalya or you enjoy being immersed in the culture, staying in Kaleiçi is a must. This is the oldest part of the city. The Ottoman-era buildings and walls are beautifully maintained, which gives the area a unique charm. The narrow streets are like a labyrinth. Staying here also puts you within walking distance of many of the historical sites. The harbor is also nearby. Stroll along the docks during the day to see the high-end yachts and traditional fishing boats. Or head to the harbor at night for a thriving nightlife scene.  

Lara

Lara Beach is the place to be if you want to stay in a luxury hotel or beach resort. The majority of the beach in this area is private, owned by resorts. This limits the number of people you have to share the sand with. There is also a thriving nightlife in this area. You’ll enjoy plenty of entertainment and live music in the cafes, restaurants, bars, and clubs. You’ll also find plenty of shopping. Explore the small boutiques or head over to the shopping centers.  

Belek

The Belek area of Antalya has an impressive number of luxury hotels. The majority of them are lining the soft golden sand beaches. This area also happens to be the golf capital of Turkey. This is an ideal area for vacationers looking for vacation packages or resorts with plenty of amenities and activities. You’ll find a desirable mix of nightlife and high-end restaurants.  

Olympus Beach

The Olympus Beach area of Antalya attracts nature lovers and those looking for a mid-range hotel. You will also find several unique lodging options, such as bungalows, camping sites, and tree houses. When staying in the area there are plenty of outdoor activities in this area. The beach is made of small pebbles, giving it a different texture. A unique feature of this beach is that it is home to Caretta Caretta sea turtles. The turtles lay their eggs on the beach, so the beach is protected. You won’t find many of the amenities that are available elsewhere, such as sunbeds and umbrellas.

The Konyaalti Beach area is perfect for families on a budget. It is the beach closest to the city, making it a perfect spot for those looking to do a little of everything. The sand stretches for 7 kilometers with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The waters are crystal clear and blue. This area is very family-friendly, with children’s play areas and parks. There is also plenty of shopping in this area.
